Artemis FowlThere are many ways to nurture the technological spark within your children. This may be by exposing them with new gadgets every day, buying them video games, technology magazines, taking them to Sci-Fi museums, planetariums etc.

There is also someone that may lend a hand. His name is Artemis Fowl, and he will enthrall your children with his adventures of magic and technology.

Protagonist of the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, Artemis is a 12-year-old Irish prodigy and a ruthless master criminal, who uses his intelligence and the internet to uncover a species of people hidden beneath the earth’s surface. These people, fairies, have far superior technology than the humans, that they use to keep them from being detected underneath and to shield themselves when on surface.

His goal, revive his family’s fortune by kidnapping one of them and trading for ransom, which in turn opens him to adventures that rock his world. Bigger than the Lord of the rings, and surely something that will give Harry Potter a run for his money in the years to come, Artemis Fowl is a certain “to read” for your lovlies.

Get the audio version for the first book. Your children will surely ask for more when they are done.
